Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How large will Beam scale?
A: The theoretical limits to Beam's size are a function of the limitations of the machines themselves.  Beam's scaling plan was designed by hardware architects that provided us a growth path that can accommodate literally thousands of employees at a time.

Q: We use a lot of outsource partners to handle our pre-legal collection activities.  Will Beam be helpful in managing my work?
A: One of the core pieces in Beam is the ability to utilize a growing universe of outsource partners through an almost transparent mechanism.  Beam was designed to work with other organizations in and out of Beam, but the greatest realization of a savings in time and work is when two firms begin to do business on the platform.  In such cases, one, ten or thousands of accounts are outsourced in literally a few seconds.

Q: Are there any surcharges that apply when I upload all of my legacy accounts?
A: None whatsoever.  We welcome the opportunity to host as much or all of your business as you wish.  All charges to your organization are based upon User Seats per Month.

Q: Will Beam permit creditors to interface with agencies better?
A: Tremendously so!  Beam uses special communication protocols to manage, place and even sell your accounts after a period of time.  What is more important, we think, is the growing network of collection organizations that you can use in broad strategies that are true "fire-and-forget" configurations.  Watch accounts get recalled automatically.  Get real-time reports.  Measure unit yields and obtain a uniform objective effectiveness report on each agency.  If you sell your accounts, Beam handles the post-sale support for each sale as well.

Q: Will Beam handle the financial dealings with our financial partners?
A: Yes.  At the heart of Beam is a full G/L system that was designed to manage the sometimes complex postings that must happen with incentivized financial arrangements.  Integrated views permit direct reporting to investors in real time through the use of special business objects that manage each transaction.

Q: What security does Beam provide?
A: Beam's hosted services provide a multi-layered approach to security of data, and security of operations.  Here are some highlights: (1) Local equipment redundancy - if a hard disk fails, a hot-standby database instantly replaces the bad drive, (2) Multiple site hosting provides an alternative platform that is continually backed up in the event of a catastrophic site failure, (3) Each hosting facility is a secure location with 24/7/365 on-site staffing/monitoring.  Each site is a hardened facility (reinforced iron cage embedded in walls, bulletproof glass, locked access Keycard + bio-authentication), (4) Data rights/entitlements management permit only the accounts a user should see.
